Building Addition

On Sunday, October 23rd we announced our recommendation to pursue a building addition on MacKenzie Road that would accommodate our Sunday morning worship needs. This path would:

  1. Plant us on the property
  2. Be doable by us
  3. Keep the larger vision alive

The reaction to this recommendation was overwhelmingly positive. Not only did we receive verbal affirmation, but we also received several offers to help in the process.

This has already resulted in the formation of a new committee to guide us through the building addition process. The committee will be chaired by Bill Long and will include Dick Bucher, Rachel Jandecka, Diego Perez-Stable and Mary Tharp.

We know what lies ahead for this group, therefore, we gratefully thank the members of this committee for your willing spirit and your upcoming labor. But in addition to our gratitude, we commit to pray for you and the process.

Remember to Vote

Tuesday, November 8th, is Election Day. It is an off-year election that does not receive as much attention as others. However, we encourage all registered voters to exercise their liberty and their responsibility by casting your ballot on November 8th.

Mid-Week Bible Study & Prayer

Last month, we began our Wednesday evening gathering dedicated to Bible study and prayer. We committed to study the 3 “R”s of the Bible-Revelation, Ruth and Romans. But we also committed to continue joining our faith together in intercessory prayer.

As of this writing, we have just covered a little more than the first chapter of Revelation. You are welcome to jump in at any time (and coming one time does not commit you to every week). Our desire is to feed the flock and to have as many as possible “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

But at the same time we are feeding from God’s Word, we do not want to neglect our responsibility to stand in the gap and pray for the individual needs of individual people. We will continue to devote ourselves to intercessory prayer every week.

We encourage you to give the mid-week service a try and guarantee you will be uplifted and encouraged by the Spirit of God, the Word of God and the people of God.

Thanksgiving Breakfast

Our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast is scheduled for Sunday, November 20th. Breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.

This is an excellent time to invite and bring family and friends as we eat together and thank God for His provision over the past year.
